In the third quarter of 2022, the top 5 Maps and Navigation apps in Switzerland showcased diverse trends in downloads, active users, and revenue. Here’s a closer look at the performance of these leading apps.

SBB Mobile saw a consistent pattern in downloads, starting at 3.3K at the end of June and peaking at 4.7K in mid-August. The app maintained strong weekly active users, beginning at 378K and ending the quarter at approximately 412K.

swisstopo experienced a noticeable increase in weekly downloads early in the quarter, reaching a high of 10.8K in the first week of August before tapering off to 3.9K by the end of September. Active users also showed an upward trend initially, peaking at 51.2K in early August and then declining to around 44.6K. Weekly revenue for the app remained modest, fluctuating between $5 and $14.

Uber - Request a ride displayed a steady download pattern, with a peak of 8.5K in late July. Active users increased from 218K at the start of the quarter to 240K by the end.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic showed a gradual decline in downloads from 3K at the start of the quarter to just over 2.1K by the end. Active users also saw a slight decrease, starting at 112K and ending at 106K.

Bolt: Request a Ride recorded a strong performance in weekly downloads, with a peak of 5.2K in late July, but saw a decline to 2.9K by the end of September. Active users increased from 7.5K at the beginning of the quarter to a peak of 11.8K in late August before settling at 10.7K.
